Blank display, unable to connect to sign remotely.

Potential Symptoms

  • Blank display.
  • Enclosure of control equipment has no power.
  • Unable to connect to sign remotely.
  • In IDM, VIP showing a "Communication Failure".

Environment

  • DB-4100

Cause

  • Loose pins on the plug through which power is brought to the enclosure.

Resolution

  1. Unplug power to the enclosure.
  2. Push pins back into plug.
  3. Power up the enclosure. Wiggle the cable to test the connection.
  4. If connection still loose, replace the harness that the plug is a part of.
