How to change DVS server software port?

Steps

 
  1. Close all DVS software services.
  2. Navigate to this location C:\Program Files\Daktronics\DVS\DVS_SERVER_4_4\services.
  3. Open WebportServer.properties in notepad.
  4. Take note of HTTP and Encrypted HTTPS ports.
  5. Utilize hercules_3-2-1 Application to check availability of port or skip to step 11.

  6. close license information and navigate to TCP Server tab.
  7. By entering in a port number, the application will listen or process an error. (See image below.)

  8. test both HTTP and Encrypted HTTPS port to verify in use 
  9. Navigate back to this location C:\Program Files\Daktronics\DVS\DVS_SERVER_4_4\services
  10. Open WebportServer.properties in notepad.
  11. Enter the port number you need or the port you know is not in use #port=80 make sure you don't have a # in front of it or it will not take. See image below.Properties 1.PNG
  12. Enter the port number you need or not in use below #sslPort=443 make sure you don't have a # in front of it or it will not take. See image below.Properties 1.PNG
  13. Click File and Save after change is made.
  14. Right click on the DVS GUI icon on the server computer and go to properties.
  15. In the target window at the end of 127.0.0.1 enter :XXXX (X=New port number see example below 
  16. Start DVS software
  17. Using a DVS Server open DVS GUI
  18. In DVS GUI the displays communication properties will need updating to new port (see image below)

  19. Select your display> click on wrench/screwdriver icon> select Comms> Update server port to new port.
