Topic
- What steps need to be performed in order for Show Control to trigger Analog Way Live Core Series Devices?
Environment
- Product Family: Software, Control Systems
- Product:
- Components: Analog Way Live Core Series NeXtage 16 Ascender 32 Ascender 48
- Control System: Show Control System
- If you're using a Midra Series (Pulse, Saphyr) product, reference:
Steps
Note: It is recommended to set all processors to the same sign number, so they can be triggered at the same time. Restart the Data Studio Machine. Next, connect to the Analog Way Web RCS interface by entering the IP address into a web browser. Once connected, go to the network settings menu by clicking on Setup > Control > Network
- Under the Third Party Protocol section, ensure that the status is Running, and there is at least 1 current connection (data server).
- Next, in Show Control, create a new button.
- In step 1, choose System Control
- In step 2, choose Advanced
- in step 3, choose Play
- in step 4:
- Protocol: UDP/IP
- Address: 255.255.255.255
- Port: 27000
- Sign Number: Set to whatever number your signs are configured as in Data Studio.
- Drive Letter: Blank
- Library: Blank
- File: Enter the command you wish to send to the processor (one command per script line)
- Commands to trigger a memory from the processor should include:
- "4095PMcat" - this will load all settings from a memory when recalled
- "0PMlse" - this prevents content from scaling due to changes in screen size.
- "0PMmet" - this tells the processor which memory to load. Find the memory in the web RCS and subtract 1 to find the number to enter here. (Memory 1 will be triggered with 0PMmet, memory 20 will be triggered with 19PMmet)
- "0PMscf" - this sets the destination screen. Usually there is only 1 screen per processor. This number is should be screen minus 1
- "0PMprf" - this puts the memory into program (0) or preview (1). In order to be shown on the board when the button is clicked, put it in program.
- "1PMloa" - this starts the commands in the processor. The only acceptable value is 1
- For additional commands available, download the Analog Way Programmers Guide from the Analog Way Website
- Commands to trigger a memory from the processor should include:
- In step 5: Choose Number of Times = 1.
- Repeat steps 1-5 above and add the lines of script for the rest of the commands above.
- Add 10 millisecond waits in between each command line as a best practice to ensure that commands get sent and don't get jumbled together when the button is clicked.
- Button should appear as below when scripting is completed.
