Speed of Pitch showing the wrong pitch information or a ghost pitch

Potential Symptoms

  • Speed of Pitch is showing a pitch that is too slow or there is a mystery read out of a pitch.

Environment

  • Product Family: Sports Products
  • Product: Fixed digit LED Scoreboard
  • Component: Jugs or Stalker radar gun
  • Control System: All Sport 5000 series console

Cause

  • The radar gun is reading the pitch from the catcher to the pitcher. The operator needs to adjust the minimum and maximum pitch speed in the All Sport.

Resolution

  1. Press the menu option on the All Sport 5000 series console.
  2. Use the up or down arrow keys to display the words "SELECT RANGE" on the LCD.
  3. Select the ENTER * Yes key.
  4. Type in 45 (or the value of the slowest pitch) and hit the ENTER * Yes key.
  5. Either select the ENTER * Yes key to accept the default 105 MPH option for the fastest pitch or type in the appropriate value and select ENTER * Yes.
  6. Select the Clear *No key to get back to the SPEED: and CYCLE: screen.
