GS6 display goes blank when there is an active schedule

Potential Symptoms

  • GS6 display is going blank when there is an active schedule in Venus Control Suite.
  • DMP-8000 is getting an error saying Memory low or a CLR error.
  • The Dashboard in Venus Control Suite show that content is playing but the display is blank.

Environment

  • GS6 display
  • Schedule containing JPEG images imported using Content Studio

Cause

  • Unknown. Suspect that the JPEG images that were imported using Content Studio were excessively large files. 

Resolution

  • Use JPEGs that are closer to the displays pixel resolution.
