Can only communicate with one Galaxy display out of two primaries when using one serial server radio and two serial client radios

Potential Symptoms

  • Can only communicate with one Galaxy display or the other when communicating with serial radios that have multiple clients but not both.
  • Power cycling or changing out a client radio will restore communication to it's Galaxy display but we will loose communication with the other.
  • The Galaxy display that we cannot communicate with will show no in range or signal strength lights on it's client radio.

Environment

  • Galaxy Displays
  • Serial radios with multiple clients

Cause

  • One of the two client radios is failing to sync up with the server.

Resolution

  • Perform a factory reset on the client radio that is not connecting as per DD1982800.
