Venus 1500: Content is getting stuck in stored presentations; Corrupt playlist(s)

Potential Symptoms

  • When publishing to display, content is getting stuck in "stored messages" section of Venus 1500 v4.
  • After updating firmware to latest revision, content is still getting stuck in "stored messages"
  • Clearing display memory does not resolve issue.
  • When a new database is created and a message is sent to the display, content shows up on sign with no problems.
  • When all playlists in schedule are deleted and a new playlist with a message is created, the content shows up on the sign (running presentations).
  • If multiple playlists are present and only one is deleted, content will get stuck in stored.
  • Playlist start and end dates are correct.

Environment

  • Product: Galaxy AF-3500/3550
  • Component: M3 Controller with v3.11.3 firmware
  • Control System: Venus 1500 v4.20.4

Cause

  • All playlists in the schedule are corrupted.

Resolution

  • Delete all playlists within schedule and create new playlists using the same settings and content.
