Content Studio: When launching getting an error "cannot load the x.509 Certificate."

Potential Symptoms

  • Receive the following error when attempting to log into Daktronics Content Studio:
    • "Could not discover an instance of Fusion to communicate with. Please verify the Fusion service is running on the server computer."

  • Content studio error log shows error: "Did not authenticate against Fusion - no Data Server".
  • Content studio error logs has errors that reference "x.509 Certificate error".
  • Receive an error when opening content studio. "Cannot find the X.509 certificate using the following search criteria".
  • Receive an error when opening content studio. "Additional log-in credentials needed... An error occurred while logging in. Please verify the Daktronics Nucleus Server service is running on the server computer. If a firewall is present ensure that TCP port 9245 is allowed".

  • Content Studio was launched from the executable in Windows Explorer or the desktop.
