Content Studio: How do I revert back to my old content after saving changes with Venus 1500?

Potential Symptoms

  • I made changes to a presentation in Content Studio and saved, but then decided that I wanted the old version before I published.
  • I changed a message in Content Studio, but later decided that I would rather have the first one back.

Environment

  • Venus 1500 V4
  • Content Studio

Cause

  • Made changes to an existing presentation and saved over the original in Content Studio, but did not publish to display.

Resolution

  • Open Content Studio and rename the new presentation.
  • Delete the new presentation with the original name.
  • Retrieve original presentation from Running Presentations by following Venus 1500: How do I retrieve my running/stored presentations and playlists from a display in V4?
  • Go to the Content Tab where you can select the thumbnail and double-click to open the presentation within Content Studio to preview.
  • Now you will have both presentations saved and can edit and/or publish accordingly.
