12V All Sport console has intermittent communication; failed battery.

Potential Symptoms

  • During game play, the console looses communication with the scoreboard.
  • Scoreboard intermittently blanks out. 
  • Replacing the battery resolves the blanking issue.
  • Console consistently has communication issues with display towards the end of the game.
  • Console may not display Broadcast setting when plugged into battery kit.
  • Console may have shortened battery life from a couples second to less than an hour.

Cause

  • Batteries are unable to supply enough power to transmit data to the scoreboard.

Resolution

  • Replace batteries.

For Temporary Operation

  • Use a 12V adapter kit to plug the console into an alternate power source.
