Scoreboard blank, Signal cable loose or not connected at J-Box.

Potential Symptoms

  • Scoreboard is blank, or works intermittently.
  • Scoreboard goes through a proper boot up after a power cycle, then goes blank.
  • Cable is unplugged from the Jbox
  • Wiggling phono signal cable may cause the board to flicker or light up.
  • One or other scoreboard will work at a time through "Main /AUX" signal plate.

Cause

  • The signal cable is unplugged or loose on the J-Box at the controller location or at the scoreboard signal in connection, and/or Field wiring loose at a J-box plate.     

Resolution

  • Re-seat the signal cable connection at the J-Box or at the scoreboard signal-in connection.
  • Check field wiring connections on backside of ("Main / Aux") signal plate, inside J-Box.
