ProSwim is locking up, freezing, or has a delay when opening or after connecting any equipment to it

Potential Symptoms

  • ProSwim is locking up, freezing, or has a delay when opening or after connecting any equipment to it.
  • ProSwim opens fine when only connected to the OmniSport 2000.
  • Will lock up if connecting any equipment past the controller, ie. lane extensions, lane modules or touchpads.

Environment

  • ProSwim
  • OmniSport 2000
  • In deck or on deck system.

Cause

  • Data is being transmitted incorrectly on com port because of a bad component and is locking up the software.

Resolution

  1. Disconnect everything from the Omni.
  2. Verify ProSwim opens correctly at this stage.
  3. Open the Monitor for the com port in the ProSwim Software.
  4. Connecting one piece at a time until you find the defective part.
