Display Studio: How many commands can a single button in Display Studio can run?

  • Receive the following error: "attempt to contact the scripting service failed" when trying to play a button with a large number of commands.

Steps

Each button in Display Studio has a maximum of 74 lines of commands that it can run before it errors out.

Note: Each Include Script in the button adds the included button's commands to the total of 74 commands, so keep that in mind.

IE: You cannot make a button that has 10 Include Scripts, where each Include calls another button that has 10 commands in it. This would be over the 74 command limit, as it would be 10 includes + 100 commands (10 commands per button, called 10 times) for a total of 110 commands.
