DM-100 is not powering up when connected to a Time and Temp display; Polarity Reversed

Potential Symptoms

  • DM-100 is not powering up when connected to the J-Box for a Time and Temp display but getting 11VDC power between pins 1 and 5 of the J-Box.

Environment

 
  • Product: DF-1010 Time and Temp

Cause

  • Voltage polarity at the J-Box is reversed.

Resolution

  • Make sure that harness between the driver enclosure and J-Box is wired correctly.
    • On the J-Box card the red wire needs to be connected to pin 1 and the black wire to pin 5.
    • In the driver enclosure, make sure that it is landed on the terminal labeled "12+" and the black wire is landed on the terminal labeled "12-".
