DakTennis, Time of Day (TOD) is not displaying on clock section of scoreboard.

Potential Symptoms

  • Time of Day, TOD clock displays "0:00".
  • TOD or countdown clock is not displaying when selected with RC-100.
  • Individual court data is successfully passing from the same RC-100 to DakTennis.
  • RC-100 is showing TOD or countdown timer on LCD.
  • Using two base stations as primary/backup or for indoor/outdoor courts on one DakTennis computer.

Environment

  • Product Family: Software
  • Product: DakTennis
  • Components: Base Station @ 2 w/version 3.6 or higher; RC-100
  • Control System: DakTennis version 3.0.8.0 or higher 

Cause

  • The base station being utilized is not the first base station listed left most in the ribbon in the software. (If using 1 base station, skip to the resolution).
    • In the following example handhelds connected to channel 2 will not be able to trigger displaying of TOD or countdown clock timer.

Resolution

  • TOD -
    Use a designated RC-100 handheld connected to the first (or only) base station (if multiple base stations used see picture above) to display Time Of Day by pressing <TOD/GAME> followed by <ENTER>.
  • Countdown clock -
    Use a designated RC-100 handheld connected to the first (or only) base station (if multiple base stations used see picture above) to display countdown clock by pressing <SET TIME> followed by the entry of the time desired, then press <START>.     
    1. Note:  TOD is displayed from the DakTennis computer's system clock and countdown timer game clock is displayed from the RC-100 handheld.
    2. Important: if multiple indoor/outdoor setups with one DakTennis computer, both indoor and outdoor will display the same TOD or countdown game clock timer.
