EBR 900xTR, No communication, Server radio detecting as Client when set to Access Point

Potential Symptoms

  • Not able to communicate through EBR 900xTR.
  • May not be able to ping the radios.
  • Server radio may be set to Subscriber Unit.
  • Client radio is the only radio detected with EBRDiagnostics.
  • Server radio is detecting as Client, even though it is set to Access Point in the web config.
  • EBRDiagnostics appears as shown in Figure A.

Cause

  • Server radio is acting as client radio, it needs to be reset to Access Point.

Resolution

  1. Restart the server radio.  If this does not resolve the issue, continue with steps below.
  2. Log into the EBR web config.
  3. Set the Server Radio from "Access Point" to "Subscriber Unit," then click apply.
    • Note: Server radio settings can be found in "Advanced" on bottom of the page.
  4. Set the Server Radio back to "Access Point," then click apply.
  5. May need to cycle power to the Server Radio.
