Galaxy, Both Display faces are stuck on at first power up, message still running on display from manufacturing testing.

Potential Symptoms

  • Display face(s) are stuck fully lit at first power up.
  • Can connect in Venus 1500, or M2Config.
  • Can run test patterns just fine, but issue returns when test pattern is stopped.
  • No change when power is cycled at display.
  • Correct connection of power, signal, and grounded, also the Firmware Version is correct.

Cause

  • A message was still running on the displays memory, from manufacturing testing. Usually a "Burn In" message, showing ALL LED's lit on the display.

Resolution

  1. Check the Running Messages on the display from either Venus 1500 or M2Config, to confirm.
  2. Blank the display, and confirm that the issue went away. (May also want to clear the display's memory, to fully get rid of the original test messages stuck on the display.)
