How to create a message in Vanguard V3 software

Environment

  • Windows XP OS
  • Vanguard V3 software
  • NTCIP-compliant display

Steps

  1. Login to Vanguard V3 software.
  2. Click on Vanguard Message Studio in Vanguard V3 Shell.

  3. Select File, then New Message from drop-down menu.
  4. Select appropriate Sign Model for the sign type  you want to create a message for.  Click on OK button.
  5. Create the message.

  6. Save message.
    1. Click on File then select Save from drop-down menu.
    2. In the Save As window click on the Matrix XX x XXX (sign  model) coinciding with the message just created.
    3. Then click on the  Common folder under that sign model.
    4. Enter the name of the message in File Name field, then click on Save button.
  7. Click on the X in the upper right-most corner of the Vanguard Message Studio window to close the window.
  8. NOTE:  Pressing F1 key on your keyboard will open the Vanguard V3 software manual.  The manual can be searched for additional details regarding formatting of the message, etc.
