Content Studio, Text appears shifted or discolored, Create text box

Potential Symptoms

  • All text is appearing off-centered (i.e. moved to the top of his display, still proportionate, but centered on the top).
  • Verified content "justified" but still appearing on the top of the display in content studio as well as on the display.
  • Or, text is cut off. Appears to start in the middle of the display (vertical & horizontal) so the rest of the message bottom or right gets cut off.
  • Page of text may appear blank.
  • Verified all display settings in M2Config, module ID test pattern showed all correct module locations and color looked correct.
  • White text may appear a different color (pink / purple).
  • The entire display is discolored and not clear (blurry).
  • Previewing from content tab or schedule tab, content appears correct.
  • Can cause controller lockup requiring power cycle of display.

Cause

  • The text was typed directly into the display window, instead of adding a text box first.

Resolution

  • Create all content in text boxes so it can be manipulated to the center of the display manually and so the correct color will show.
