DFTP failure when sending some files

Potential Symptoms

  • File send failure on DFTP when sending .HEX files after successfully updating firmware

Environment

  • Daktronics NTCIP controller
  • DFTP Software
  • Vanguard Configuration Utility Software

Cause

  • Unknown- possible weak RJ45 cable

Resolution

  • Use DFTP in Vanguard Configuration Utility to send the files.

NOTE: DFTP in the configuration utility uses a better connection method than the stand alone version, so if the connection is a little bit weak it may succeed where the stand alone fails.
