Tricaster Studio: How to set the program output to 720x480 for a Daktronics system.

Steps

  1. Boot-up the DMP-8000 and verify VNet has started.
  2. Boot-up TriCaster and close out of the TriCaster interface and return to Admin mode.
  3. Right-click on the desktop and select properties.
  4. Click on the settings tab.
  5. Click on monitor 2 and check the extend desktop mode, if not done so already.  Click apply.

  6. Slide the slider to the left until 720x480 is selected.
    • If 800x600 is the minimum resolution option click on advanced setting button.
  7. Select the adapter tab.

  8. Click the list all modes button.
  9. Scroll up and select 720x480 True Color(32-bit) 60 Hertz.

  10. Click Ok.  Then click Apply and then Ok.
  11. Verify monitor 2 shows a 720x480 resolution and click ok.

  12. Click the Configure TriCaster button on the Desktop and verify that it is setup for a 4:3 aspect ratio.
  13. Launch TriCaster.
  14. Select the External tab.

  15. Select 720x480 4:3 from the drop down.
    • Note: It may show up as 720x480 3:2 initially.
  16. Load a clip in the DDR and press play.  Make sure the DDR is selected on Live row and verify output to the display.
    • Note: If the resolution drop-down in the external tab is not enabled reboot the TriCaster only.  Upon reboot it should be active.
