Venus 1500 V3; Message Studio will not open

Potential Symptoms

  • Clicking on the Message Studio button on the Venus 1500 v3 toolbar will not open the program or the window.
  • The other buttons on the toolbar open correctly.

Environment

  • Windows XP, Vista
  • Venus 1500 V3

Cause

  • V15MsgStudio.exe did not close properly when the program was closed.
  • This causes Windows to think that Message Studio is already running and doesn't open a new window when clicking the button.

Resolution

  1. Point to the task bar and right click (The task bar is usually at the bottom of your screen; it's that little bar that shows all of your open programs).
  2. Select Start Task Manager
  3. Click on the Processes tab.
  4. Find V15MsgStudio.exe in the list and click to highlight.
  5. Click End Process.
