Time off, time zone is accurate, International site changed time zone standards.

Potential Symptoms

  • DMP time off by an hour even though time zone is accurate.
  • Changing the NTP client from Daktronics to an alternate does not change/update the time.

Cause

  • This site was an international site included in an area that altered their Daylight Savings Time standards. In order for the correct time to be synced on the DMP and remainder of the network, a Windows patch is necessary.

Resolution

  1. Leave the time zone setting set as it currently is.
  2. View the DMP properties to view what OS it is running.
  3. Proceed to the following site to download the appropriate update and install:
