TriCaster: How to push content out composite to a Black Magic device for a Daktronics System.
Topic
- How does the TriCaster Studio push out a composite feed.
- DVI output capabilities on the TriCaster Studio have failed and need a back-up for emergency operation.
Environment
- TriCaster Studio
- DMP-8000/VNet
- Black Magic Intensity Pro/Shuttle
Steps
- Using a BNC to RCA adapter (HE-1136) on the TriCaster side, connect to the Composite Output (see image below) and run an RCA cable to the Composite Input on the Black Magic device being used.
- Create a button in SCS (if one doesn't already exist) that plays the Composite.vmpl file from the DMP.
This is meant to be used as a work-around only for short term resolutions. This will also cause the audio to not push to the DMP, so if audio is used from the TriCaster, it will now need a direct run from the TriCaster to the mixer.
