Installation errors & rolls back, if install successful application shuts down when loading; Unsupported system

Potential Symptoms

  • Getting errors when attempting to install Venus 1500 v4.
    • Receive errors and install rolls back.
  • If installation is successful, the software may continually shut down on the startup screen.
  • Unable to create a playlist in Content Studio even after updating Venus 1500 or running a repair.
    • When attempting to create playlists, unable to make the playlist window the active window.
      • Curser is flashing on background Venus 1500 application window.

Cause

  • Venus 1500 v4 is not supported on Microsoft Server, Mac, or a Virtual Desktop system.
    • Venus 1500 v4 is designed to operate on a single stand alone computer.

Resolution

  • Install Venus 1500 v4 on a supported Operating System that meets our System Requirements.
