Galaxy sign goes blank intermittently or when displaying an all-white background, Insufficient Service Power

Potential Symptoms

Sign goes blank when displaying content with all-white background.

  • Breaker for incoming power may trip when all white content is displayed.      
  • Display may come back on by itself when switched to content without a white background.
  • Display may go partially blank in module or multiple module sized areas, these blank areas may come and go or move around.
In a two face (2V) or Primary/mirror set up, only the mirror face may go blank.
  • Both faces are powered by one breaker.

Cause

The display needs more current or voltage than what is being given by the site power service.

Resolution

  • Contact an electrician to get the proper electrical requirements to the display.
