Webcam: "Server Error 403 - Forbidden: Access is denied" message when trying to view webcam

Potential Symptoms

  • When trying to view webcam in Venus using Internet Explorer are redirected to a "Server Error 403 - Forbidden: Access is denied" page.
  • When trying to view webcam using other browsers may not get error but webcam window shows a picture icon in the upper left corner and refresh loop in the lower right.

  • Control System: Venus Cloud-Based, Venus Local

Cause

  • One of the webcams on the account has an apostrophe in the name.

Resolution

  • Remove apostrophe from webcam titles completely or replace with ` (button next to number 1) instead.
