Running presentations in Venus appear to be repeating the schedule or have extra messages than what is scheduled

Potential Symptoms

  • Running messages in Venus appears to have more messages showing than what is currently scheduled.
  • It appears that the schedule is being repeated over and over again.

Environment

  • Venus 1500 V4

Cause

  • The Venus schedule has a playlist option enabled that is only inserting one message from the playlist and then moving to the next playlist on the schedule, causing every message to show up under running until it completely runs through the whole schedule.

Resolution

  • This is the normal way Venus 1500 will display the running presentations when using this feature. It is showing the messages exactly as they will appear on the display, in order.
