How to set a Galaxy display to use a DHCP name

Steps

  1. Connect to the display with M2Config.
  2. Click on the Communications folder on the left side of M2.
  3. Click on TCP/IP and at the top, select Obtain an IP address automatically.
  4. In the DHCP name: text box, enter the desired name of the display.
  5. Set the sign to Obtain DNS server address automatically unless the IT technician requests you to enter a specific IP address.
  6. Upload the configuration to the controller and enter the new name of the display in Venus 1500 (in place of the IP address) to make sure that it is working correctly. (The DHCP display name would look something like "DAK0427".)
