Can a wireless (Wi-Fi) router be used with DVX or DVN system
Topic
Environment
- A DVX-101 or DVN-101 system
Steps
- We do allow for the SCS computer (Display Studio) to use Wi-Fi when a internet connection is needed, such at remote access for trouble shooting. How ever having the Wi-Fi turned can causes system lag on the HP computer (see DD1902849)
- We do not support use of WiFi to communicate between the SCS computer and the DVX control equipment. We know that Wi-Fi may create lag between the display and SCS software.
- We do not support replacing the Netgear router we provide with any other router. Our routers come configured specifically to work with our system.
