Prices not displaying or changing correctly after power outage, Driver lost addressing

Potential Symptoms

  • Prices wrong or are not changing, or only some prices changing but was working fine before a power outage.
    • Price sign may be blank, not even the decimal lit, but the driver does have power to it.
  • Issue happens after a storm or potential power issue.
  • When going into line mapping, lines are not set up correctly.
  • When in line mapping mode, may see one or more displays fading in and out when only one antenna is present.

Environment

  • Product: FL-3000 and FL-4500
  • Component: Driver line addressing
  • Control System: FLR3-100, FLR3-400, DM-100

Cause

  • Power outage causing drivers to lose their proper line addressing.

Resolution

  1. Power cycle the display at the breaker.
    • If the displays don't have a main breaker, it's suggested to install a breaker to be successful with the next steps.
  2. Reset the proper line addressing if needed.
