Display Wizard does not find display, nor is it found using the Automatically Configure option

Potential Symptoms

  • Have run Display Wizard but it does not find the display, nor is the display found when choosing the Automatically Configure option.

Environment

  • Venus 1500
  • Galaxy display

Cause

  • The computer is not set to the same network addressing scheme as the display.

Resolution

  1. Verify the IP address of the display by power cycling the sign. Refer to Venus 1500: How do I determine what IP address to use for display configuration .
  2. Set the computer to the same IP range. Refer to How do I set or change a static IP on my computer or USB to Ethernet adapter? .
