Can you change how results are displayed on the swimming scoreboard (lane vs. place)?

Potential Symptoms

  • The Lane and place digits are swapped.
  • The scoreboard shows results based on place order and not lane order (or vice versa).

Environment

  • Product Family:  Aquatics/Timing (swimming)
  • Product:  SW-2XXX, OmniSport 2000(e)
  • Control System:  Numeric Scoreboard

Cause

  • Results order configuration can be modified on the OmniSport 2000(e) or via Pro Swimming software.

Resolution

Option 1 (from OmniSport 2000):

  1. Turn on the OmniSport and enter into Swimming mode.  *OmniSport 2000 Timing Console and Pro Software Operation Manual; ED-13312.
  2. Press MENU> [4]>[3]>[1]>[4] on the OmniSport 2000 keypad.
    1. Changes are made using the < or > keys on the OmniSport 2000.
    2. Select LANE to display the results in the order of the lane in which the swimmers finished (default setting if # lanes <= # lines).
    3. Select PLACE to display the results in the order of which the swimmers placed (default setting if # lanes > l# lines).

Option 2 (from Pro Swimming software):

  1. Once the OmniSport is connected to Pro Swimming (with a GREEN Comm. Status indicator), click Options/Configure.

  2. Navigate to the SCBD tab.  In the Numeric (Fixed Digit) portion, the order can be changed by choosing the desired Results button.

Additional Note:

If working with a matrix display the same settings can be adjusted from the OmniSport 2000 using MENU> [4]>[3]>[2]>[4].  See above picture on the RTD/Matrix section for using Pro Swimming to make the change.
