Gen VI Radio, Scoreboard Skipping, Pausing or Blanking; Bad antenna cable

Potential Symptoms

  • Running time on scoreboard skips.
  • Scoreboard data randomly blanks and comes back on.
  • No communication between console and scoreboard.
  • Reduced operating range/signal strength (Example: 100ft outdoors).

Environment

  • Product: Wireless scoreboard
  • Component: Console or receiver antenna cable
  • Control System: All Sport Gen VI Radios

Cause

  • Bad antenna cable.

Resolution

  • Replace bad receivers and consoles as needed (Replacing just the antenna cable is not an option as it is not field replaceable).

For Temporary Operation

  • Use wired signal.
