Alert in Venus v4, Presentation was not sent to the display or stored in the database; Empty or blank playlist

Potential Symptoms

  • When publishing to the display, receive an alert saying "presentation not sent to the display because it is not stored in the database, it may be stored in the display.
  • Sign is not updating content but new content has been created and a playlist was attempted to be published.

Cause

  • One or more playlists being published do not have any presentations in the presentation list (blank playlist).

Resolution

  1. Remove empty playlist/s and publish edited schedule to the display.
  2. Select yes when asked to overwrite existing playlist.
