Mirror display blank, MLC Error; MLC set to self test

Potential Symptoms

  • Mirror side of display is blank.
  • Readout on MLC shows Error or Err 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 0b 0C 0F Failure.
    • May occur with replacement of MLC or after testing.

Cause

  • MLC is set to self test mode (all dip switches in up/on position).
    • The errors are occurring because no loopback ribbon cables or loopback cat 5 cables are in place at the time of the test.

Resolution

  • Set all dip switches to the off/down position (pushed or depressed so that switches are closest to the MLC pcb).
  • Power cycle the MLC if power is not off when changed dip switch positions
