Shot Clock: Multi-Colored, horn will not go off at the end of shot time

Potential Symptoms

  • Multi-Colored shot clock horn will not go off at the end of shot time
  • Horn will go off when manually pushed on the All Sport
  • Horn will go off when game time ends

Environment

  • All Sport 5500
  • MCast controlled equipment

Cause

  • Horn hooked up to J26 plug on controller instead of J27.

Resolution

  1. Open up the shot clock and locate the main controller board.
  2. Next, trace the horn signal cable to the main controller.
  3. Move the plug from J26 (or J28 if shipped from the factory that day) to J27 which is the Shot Horn Aux plug.
