After updating Venus 1500, receive error message when trying to publish to display: "Venus 1500 has encountered an error and needs to close."

Potential Symptoms

  • An update of the software was just attempted, and computer does an automatic restart during installation without prompt. After restart, software launches normally.
  • When trying to publish to the display, receive error message: "Venus 1500 has encountered an error and needs to close."
  • When checking the version, find that the Venus software is still at the older version and did not update.

Environment

  • Venus 1500 v4.x.x

Cause

  • Software update did not completely install; may be because the installer was not downloaded and saved prior to launching it

Resolution

  1. Download and save the update installer
