Steps

Note: Reference How to set up Stat Crew with the All Sport, DSTI, and Venus 7000, DD2167389 for more information on Stat Crew and DSTI setup.

1. Open up TAS for Hockey software

2. Select Options.

3. Note: Step 3 is only needed in older versions of StatCrew. In the newer versions (2011 releases and newer) these settings will not need to be checked
    a. On In-game options, set Auto-connect to Yes. Go to Game or Match Setup > Remote Display > Comms setup.

    b. Make sure NONE is entered as the Comm port field and leave Baud and Terminal settings as is.

     c. Press [ESC] to return to the Remote menu, and then select Terminal type.
4. Select scoreboard as the Device Type. Do not use the Daktronics option.

5. Return to the main application screen, and select In-game scoring once more.
6. Since Auto-connect is turned on, a notification to start the interface will now appear. Press [Y] and then [Enter]. Auto-connect tells TAS to begin updating the "comfile" which sends data to DSTI.

7. Open a competition by going to File > New game. Game information can be entered under Game Setup > Teams.

8. Enter a play to create the "comfile" output that will be used by TasComms32. Plays are entered by selecting Scoresheet > Input.

9. Make sure the comfile is being updated:
 a. Locate the comfile in the program folder for the Stat Crew software.
 b. In windows explorer, go to View > Details and look at the modified date of the file. The modified date should reflect the time when the game was opened.

NOTE: Refer to How to set up TasComms32 serial communication for Stat Crew, DD2557286 for setting up serial communication.
NOTE: Be sure to add starters into StatCrew or the data will offset and cause issues.
