- Venus 1500 v4.18.1 and greater
Cause
Venus 1500 v4.18 introduced the use of Microsoft .NET Framework 4 and no longer uses .NET Framework 3.5 sp1. When installing .NET 4, there may be several hotfixes, security updates and patches needed after being installed. This is highly true especially on Windows XP and Windows Vista Operating Systems, due to not many programs installed on these systems use .NET 4. This does not mean Windows 7 and 8 will not or could not have issues, as they may need updates as well.
Resolution
It is recommended for customers when updating from 4.17 and lower to 4.18.1 and greater to run Windows Updates after the Venus 1500 is updated. This will search for any possible hotfixes, Updates and/or patches needed for the .NET Frameworks that are currently installed on the computer.
