Digit and Price Displays: Entire price display blank or 1 digit of large character digit display is blank; Failed power supply

Potential Symptoms

  • Gas price display is blank.
  • No boot up sequence when powered on.
  • In displays with multiple products, unable to change prices to displays after the display that is blank (signal is wired in series between displays).
  • One full digit is blank on a large character digit display.
  • Power supply green LED is not lit.
    • Voltage out of power supply is close to 0V even though incoming voltage to power supply is 120 VAC.
  • Driver has no red diagnostic LEDs lit.

Dual Power supply setups

  • One power supply LED is not lit but the driver lights are still on, other power supply does have green LED lit.
    • Voltage out of power supply is near 0V even though incoming voltage to power supply is 120 VAC.
  • Intermittent blanking may be occurring.
