When importing graphics the quality is poor after updating from 4.17 to 4.18 or 4.19.1

Potential Symptoms

  • When importing graphics the quality becomes poor after updating software from Venus 1500 v4.17 to 4.18.1 or 4.19.1
  • Graphics are a larger pixel dimension then the actual display
    • Example: Graphic is 563x900 pixels, being imported to a display size of 80x128
  • When publishing imported images to the display, the quality is poor out on the physical display

Cause

There is a change in the algorithm when resizing images that was not intended in 4.18.1 and 4.19.1

Resolution

Update Venus 1500 v4 to the latest 4.19.2 or greater.
