FL-3000, Gen 2 radios, Unable to change price through radios, but can using backup J-box

Potential Symptoms

  • Unable to change prices through the radios, but can change them using the backup outdoor J-box.
  • Client radio In Range (DS3) is not lit or may flicker occasionally.
  • None or few signal strength LEDs lit on client radio.
  • FL-3000, Gen 2 radios, unable to change price through the radios but can using backup J-box

Environment

  • Fuelight
  • FL-3000, FL-4500
  • Gas Price or Petroleum Price Display, FL digit product
  • Fuelink Radio 1500 (FLR3-1500) w/ backup access port

Cause

  • Radios have lost their connection to each other.

Resolution

  1. Reconfigure radios by setting channel rotary dial to F and waiting until signal LEDs are all flashing, then set back to a channel; both radios need to be on same channel.
  2. Verify by attempting to change channel through the radios, bypassing the POS.
  3. If prices are changing, then plug in POS and verify from POS control as well.
