Galaxy (MDC controller), Many messages appear in Stored Messages list, Memory bar is solid red

Potential Symptoms

  • Messages sent to sign in Venus 1500 V3 do not show up on the sign and the display continues to run old messages.
  • When getting status to the display, many messages appear in Stored Messages list.
  • In lower left of Display Manager window, the colored bar (memory bar) is solid red.
  • Messages sent to sign doe not show up on sign, running old message, able to get status V3

  • Electronic Message Center (EMC), Marquee, Readerboard, Electronic Message Board (EMB), Display
  • MDC Controller based products

Cause

  • Memory on controller is used up by Stored Messages.

Resolution

  • Delete all of the messages listed in Stored Messages.
    1. Click on diagnostic gears (green and brown) at top right of Display Memory window.
    2. Click the square next to "Clear Display Memory", then click on Reset Display.
    3. Wait for display to reboot then reconnect and send content to the display.
