Process to reset Vanguard software password

I forgot my username and password to vanguard software. How can I get it reset?

Steps

  1. Use the Nucleus Database Utility to save your database.
    1. Click on My Computer
    2. Click on C: drive or drive that Vanguard software is installed on.
    3. Click on Program files (x86) folder.
    4. Click on Daktronics folder.
    5. Click on Nucleus Server folder.
    6. Click on Database Utility folder.
    7. Double-click on Nucleus Database Utility Tool.
    8. Select Save.
    9. Select name and location to save the file to.  Name the .nucbak file so that it will easily be identifiable when uploaded to Daktronics FTP site (https://dakfiles.daktronics.com).
  2. Go to https://dakfiles.daktronics.com
  3. Follow this KB: How to upload files to Dakfiles FTP site
  4. Once loaded, send an e-mail TransportationHelp@daktronics.com with the following information:
    1. Subject:  Vanguard V4 Software password reset request.
    2. Your customer information (such as Customer ID # or Daktronics Contract number).
    3. The version of Vanguard V4 Professional you currently have installed (example:  V4.24.2).
  5. Alternately, you can call Daktronics Tech Support at 800-833-3157, Option 2 (Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. CST) and provide this information.
  6. When the password has been reset, tech support will contact you via e-mail and/or by phone to notify you.
  7. Follow steps 1. through 2. above to return to https://dakfiles.daktronics.com to download the backup.nucbak file with the reset password.
  8. Use the Nucleus Database Utility to load your database.
    1. Click on My Computer
    2. Click on C: drive or drive that the Vanguard software is installed on.
    3. Click on Program files (x86) folder.
    4. Click on Daktronics folder.
    5. Click on Nucleus Server folder.
    6. Click on Database Utility folder.
    7. Double-click on Nucleus Database Utility Tool.
    8. Select Load.
    9. Click no if you do not want to save your current database (recommended as the new database you're loading has the reset password).
    10. Click yes for Restore warning.  Note:  This will overwrite all sign related configurations and messages.
    11. Select saved database (with the reset password) that you downloaded from Daktronics FTP site.
    12. This may take a few minutes before a successful message pops-up.
    13. You may need to restart computer before being able to login.
  9. Verify you can login with the (default) reset password.  The default password will be provided by Daktronics Transportation Tech Services.
