Unable to Start, Stop or Restart services, Services utility not running as Administrator
Potential Symptoms
- Unable to start, stopĀ or restart any services and the options are grayed out.

Cause
- Services utility is not running with administrator rights.
Resolution
- Go to the Windows Start Menu and type Services.
- Right-click on Services, select Run as Administrator.
- Continue to follow directions on DD2236444 on how to start the services.
- If the option to run as administrator is not possible, or the options are still grayed out, please contact your company IT Department or Network Administrator to gain access or rights to the services panel.
