Display: Blank Section; Improper PLR power connection to module

Potential Symptoms

  • Section of display is blank.
    • Section may be a portion of the display, an entire face of display, or entire display.
  • PLR outputting to the modules is not powering on.
  • No voltage to the PLR from the module it is connected to.

Cause

  • The module that powers the PLR is not connected properly or the plug is in backwards.

Resolution

  • Properly seat PLR power cable connector into the module and ensure it is making contact with the pins.
    • Plug should slide in with little to no effort but will connect incorrectly if forced into the plug.
    • The plug outlet can also pull out with the plug but can slide back on and still be used (as seen in photo).
