Please wait while Windows configures Venus 1500 V4 message appears shortly after opening the Venus 1500 program

Potential Symptoms

  • Shortly after opening Venus 1500 version 4 software a Venus 1500 V4 information message pops up that reads "Please wait while Windows configures Venus 1500 V4".
  • Message may reappear even after closing it out.
  • Event Viewer may also be logging MsiInstaller error with Event ID: 1004 and/or 1001.
  • May also be unable to use the "Save As" feature in Content Studio.
  • Performed a repair following DD2871390 on the software and issue remained present.

Environment

  • Venus 1500 V4

Cause

  • Features of the software are missing or corrupt.

Resolution

  1. Uninstall all components of the Venus 1500 V4 SW and delete any remaining .config files.
  2. Download update version of Venus 1500 V4 and install.
