Potential Symptoms

  • Venus 1500 getting alert No Connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.
  • After initial alert, display connects fine in Venus and error does not return until next time application is launched.

  • Products: GalaxyPro Revolution (GPR), Galaxy Pro 4 (GP4), DVX
  • Components: DMP-8000, DMP-8065, DMP-8060, M4 controller
  • Control System: Venus 1500 version 4 (Venus 1500 v4)

Cause

  • Suspect that since the schedule had messages that had not been opened and re-saved after being retrieved that it may have corrupted data.

Resolution

  1. Re-save all messages that have been retrieved from the display.
  2. Clear display memory in Venus.
  3. Re-publish the schedule in Venus.
