Communication with Galaxy display works periodically

Potential Symptoms

  • Communication with Galaxy display only works for a few hours/days and then it fails to communicate
  • When communications fail you cannot communicate through the network but if hooked up directly to communication equipment you can
  • Cannot ping display's IP address when it is powered on but can ping the IP address when it is powered off

Cause

Another device on same network is sharing same IP address that display has and is periodically being powered down

Resolution

  1. Change IP address on display to a unique IP address that is not shared with another device
